As chief executive of the Pennsylvania Treasury Department, which currently has an annual budget of nearly $60 million and a staff of about 500 employees, McCord serves as statutory custodian of the funds of virtually all state agencies, which total nearly $86 billion.

Treasurer McCord has significant experience in the public and private sector, which offers him a unique outlook on business, government, and the problems facing many of us today. He works to strengthen Pennsylvania’s economy and improve the economic security of Commonwealth residents, particularly senior citizens and financially vulnerable citizens, during these challenging economic times. He recognizes the need to help Pennsylvania invest in long-term goals and will ensure that Commonwealth resources are hard at work securing our future.

He co-founded and served as Managing Director of Pennsylvania Early Stage Partners and co-founded the Eastern Technology Fund.  Earlier in his career Treasurer McCord spent nearly a decade working on Capital Hill, where he specialized in budget and regulatory issues.  He received his MBA from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, where he has taught as an adjunct professor.

Ronald Naples, as chairman of the Pennsylvania Stimulus Oversight Commission, leads the effort that reviews Recovery Act guidelines and reports responsibilities to ensure the state's compliance with federal requirements for tracking and publicly reporting how the funding is spent.  He has more than three decades of business leadership experience, most recently as chairman and chief executive officer of Quaker Chemical Corporation in Conshohocken. He joined Quaker in 1995 after nearly two decades at Hunt Manufacturing Company, where he was also CEO.

He is a former White House Fellow, appointed for 1974-75, and served in the Ford Administration as assistant to the counselor to the president for economic affairs, Kenneth Rush, and as a special assistant to the head of the Federal Energy Administration, Frank Zarb.

Mr. Naples is a decorated U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam, and a West Point graduate, with a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Master of Arts in International Economic Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.  He chaired the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia and currently chairs the Board of Trustees of the University of the Arts.
