Gail Bubenick (gail@drgailonline.com), CEO of Sierra Communications, Inc., spoke on the topic "Principles of Neuropsychology Applied to the Retention of Key Employees" for the Philadelphia Human Resource Planning Group. Her company is now working with The American Institute of Chemical Engineers, NY; Christiana Health Care System, DE; and Wyeth Pharmaceuticals in leadership development.

Pamela Godwin (pamelagodwin@changepartnersofpa.com), President of Change Partners, Inc., delivered the Commencement Address for Penn State Great Valley’s School of Graduate Professional Studies, on May 12, 2006, to graduates receiving Master’s Degrees in Business, Information Science, Engineering and Education.  

Cathy Greenberg (cathy@h2cleadership.com), Founder and Managing Partner h2c, LLC, was the keynote speaker for the annual Talent Plus Fortune 500 Summit in Michigan. Her recent publicity features include KYW News Radio, The New York Times, and Atlanta Business Chronicle, among others. Greenberg also co-authored a new book What Happy Women Know, due out in 2007 through Rodale Press.

Irene H. Hannan (Irene.Hannan@citizensbank.com), Senior Vice President of Citizens Bank, delivered the keynote address at PHH Mortgage’s Women’s Leadership Conference on July 7 at the company’s headquarters in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The Pennsylvania Bankers’ Association published an article by Irene on marketing financial services to women in its Summer issue.

Katherine Hatton (khatton@rwjf.org), Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, was featured in the May issue of GC Mid-Atlantic, the magazine for and about General Counsel in the region. Katherine also was a panelist at a June program in Philadelphia on "Best Practices to Retain and Promote Women in the Legal Profession" sponsored by Flex-Time Lawyers LLC.  

Dr. Leslie Mayer (lmayer@mayerleadership.com), President and CEO of Mayer Leadership Group, was invited by Forbes magazine to serve as a panelist for their inaugural Family Business Forum in New York City in mid-May. She was also interviewed by Judy Martel, author of the recently released book Dilemmas of Family Wealth: Insights on Succession, Cohesion, and Legacy. Dr. Mayer's contribution dealt with the attributes and motivations of leaders at different stages in the life cycle of a business. |

The purpose of the Association is to improve and preserve Cape May as a historic attraction for its visitors and residents. Wilkinson also recently completed her two-year term as President of the Villanova Law School J. Willard O'Brien Inn of Court, which is comprised of 150 judges and lawyers throughout the Philadelphia area.

Reneé Amoore (amoore521@aol.com), President and CEO of The Amoore Group, Inc., was recognized by the Boys and Girls Club with the “Touching A Life” Honor. Ms. Amoore was also profiled in the business management textbook, Understanding Business as a successful entrepreneur and business leader. 

Marjorie Brody (mbrody@brodycommunications.com), President of Brody Communications LTD, received the highest honor for professional speakers on July 25, 2006, during the National Speakers Association (NSA) summer conference, when she was inducted into the Council of Peers Award for Excellence Speaker Hall of Fame. She was also featured on ABC’s June 29, 2006 World News Webcast, where she discussed vacation-related etiquette with regard to taking work with you via technology (e.g. Blackberrys).

Julie Copeland (jcopeland@arbill.com), CEO and President of Arbill Safety Products, is proud to announce that her company was named a finalist in the 2006 American Business Awards category for Best New Product or Service based on its compliance and training services program. Arbill was one of seven companies selected nationwide.

JoAnne Fischer (joanne@momobile.org), Executive Director of Maternity Care Coalition (MCC), announces that MCC’s Cribs for Kids Program received the Dale Earnhardt Foundation award for innovative leadership in improving lives, creating change in the world and inspiring others to be leaders. MCC was also granted $447,000 from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to establish a MOMobile program at Riverside Correctional Facility in order to improve the health and parenting skills of incarcerated pregnant women and their families.

Tine Hansen-Turton (tine@nncc.us), CEO of National Nursing Centers Consortium (NNCC), will be accepting the American Public Health Association Lillian Wald Public Service Award on behalf of NNCC at their October conference in Boston. Also, she will be spending a week in New Zealand as part two of her Eisenhower fellowship, meeting with key government and NGO leaders to develop policy strategies to most effectively implement the new Nurse Practitioner primary care provider role in New Zealand. In addition, she will begin planning for a 2007 or early 2008 global health care conference in New Zealand.

Jody Levy (jlevy@theadvantagepartnership.com), President of The Advantage Partnership, LLC was the keynote speaker at the National Rice Millers Association Annual Meeting in Asheville, North Carolina. She spoke on “The Impact of Marketplace Trends on the Rice Industry.”

Eileen R. Heisman (eheisman@nptrust.org), President and CEO of National Philanthropic Trust (NPT), was featured as “CEO of the Week” in the July 3rd issue of Philadelphia Business Journal and was accepted into Stanford Business School's Executives in Philanthropy 2006 class. NPT is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has raised over $1 billion and given nearly $500 million in grants since inception.

Anne Klein & Associates (President Anne Klein: anne@akleinpr.com) won two Pyramid Awards from the New Jersey chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. One award, in the Marketing Communications category, was for a program for MDS Pharma Services, King of Prussia. The other was for a brochure, "Defining the Future of the Princeton HealthCare System."

Meryl Levitz (meryl@gptmc.com), President and CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation (GPTMC), will accept three of eight prestigious Travel Industry of America 2006 Odyssey Awards: the Domestic SeeAmerica Marketing Award; the Publicity and Promotion Award; and The Tourism Economic Award. Never before has an organization won multiple Odyssey Awards in the same year. This year’s competition was open to destinations, attractions, hospitality and transportation companies from all over the world.

Suzanne Mayes (smayes@saul.com), Partner of Saul Ewing LLP, received a Special Achievement Award from the Pennsylvania Bar Association (PBA) for her work as Membership Committee Co-Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Commission on Women in the Profession. She was also designated as a 2006 Pennsylvania Super Lawyer and appointed to the Pennsylvania Bar Association's House of Delegates, the body charged with setting policy for the PBA.

Frances R. Pierce (piercef@dsainc.com), Chairman and CEO of Data Systems Analysts, Inc., was selected as one of three finalists for Ernst and Young’s 2006 "Entreprenuer of the Year for Technology". Earlier she had been named by Governor Rendell as one of Pennsylvania's 2006 "50 Best Women in Business". She also was selected to the Mid-Atlantic Member Advisory Board of Vistage International, the world's largest CEO organization, and recently joined the Regional Board of Directors for TD Banknorth's Mid-Atlantic Division (formerly Hudson United Bank).

Linda Rosanio (lrosanio@stargroup1.com), CEO of The Star Group, was named Humanitarian of the Year by Eagles Fly for Leukemia for her longstanding commitment to raising awareness and funds for pediatric cancer and leukemia research in the Delaware Valley . Rosanio was honored last month at the organization’s Annual Gala at the Westin Hotel, Philadelphia.

Ivy Silver (Isilver@tccgroup.com), President and Founder of The Commonwealth Consulting Group was honored with two significant awards.  Ivy was this year’s WOMENS WAY Leadership Award Honoree, and she was also recognized this year as one of Pennsylvania's "50 Best Women in Business."

Geri Swift (gswift@womensbdc.org), President, Women's Business Development Center, received the Ambassador of the Year award from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council on June 29, 2006 during the Tribute to Partner Celebration at the WBENC National Conference, for her volunteer efforts in recruiting national corporate members.

Joan Chrestay (joan.chrestay@sju.edu) has accepted the position of Vice President for External Affairs at Saint Joseph's University. In that capacity she is responsible for communications, marketing, government and community relations.

Anna Maria DiDio (didioa@wyeth.com) has recently joined Wyeth Pharmaceuticals as Senior Director Human Resources in Employee Relations. In her new role Anna will have broad responsibilities across all U.S. sites for employee relations and compliance training.

Abbe Fletman (Abbe.Fletman@flastergreenberg.com), Shareholder of Flaster Greenberg P.C., represented female student athletes, along with Women’s Law Project, in a lawsuit against Slippery Rock University for violating Title IX. U.S. Chief District Judge Donetta Ambrose ruled that Slippery Rock University intentionally discriminated against its female student-athletes and ordered that Slippery Rock reinstate the women’s swimming and water polo teams immediately.

Karen Kaufman (kk@kpartners.com), Co-Founding Principal of The Kaufman Partnership, and Jane Firth (jane@firthleadershippartners.com), Founding Principal of Firth Leadership Partners, have formed a joint venture, bringing together their combined expertise in Impression Management, Relationship Management, Leadership Development, and Organizational Dynamics. PERSONAL NOTE

Mona Doyle (Mona@ConsumerNetwork.org), President and Publisher, Consumer Network, Inc., enjoyed an interesting side benefit of Forum membership this summer. When Forum Member Nancy Gilboy (nancy.gilboy@phila.gov), President of the International Visitors Council of Philadelphia, heard that the Doyle family would be traveling to Florence, Italy, she offered to arrange a private tour of the Medici Palace for Mona. “Even though Florence and all of Italy were mobbed with people celebrating the World Soccer Championship, the tour was private, and the tour guide fabulous,” says Mona.
